For several years, Hydro Flask has been our family's go-to water bottle. They're entirely metal (with the exception of the lid), long-lasting, and insulated. Aftermarket lids are also available, such as the Flaskars Straw Lid for Hydro Flask Standard Mouth Sport Water Bottle, which has a built-in, leak-proof straw (we prefer this to their sport cap offering).

I enjoy the Hydro flasks and have several of them for different occasions. However, there are a few advantages and disadvantages to these bottles. Pros Water stays cold for up to 24 hours when double insulated. Lids with a wide opening and several types of lids are available. There are no leaks. Handle strap - Carry it by hand wherever you go. Design is sleek and elegant, and the grip is non-slip. Cons. It can develop scratches and dents if you aren't careful. Hand wash only / dishwasher not recommended Over time, the handle strap will most likely wear out. The disadvantages are minor in comparison to the advantages, but I like my bottles to last a lifetime, so I usually find a sleeve to protect them from dents or damage over time.

Everyone seems to have Hydroflasks, so I wanted one. The price threw me off at first. After a few months of use, it has certainly met and exceeded my expectations. What's important is that the bottle's insulation remains intact. Seriously. I'm usually at the office all day, so the insulating effects aren't noticeable. Sure, it's chilly at the office all day, but that doesn't matter until you take it to Arizona and leave it in a hot car for 3+ hours in 107-degree heat, only to return and find it still ice cold.

I've had this for two weeks and I'm in love. I've already taken it on a plane, taken it to the beach, ridden it to and from work every day on my bike, and then dropped it on the floor. I've never used an insulated bottle before, so having cold water all day has been a pleasant surprise. I haven't gotten the 6/8+ hours of ice that other people claim, but I also don't use much ice and sometimes don't seal the top out of laziness. Easy to grasp, the insulation prevents moisture, and the water appears to resist even when it runs down the edges. The best feature is that it sounds like a low, quiet gong when you bump it against things.

This is my SIXTH HydroFlask, and I'm confident it will not be my last. My sole reason for buying so many is that they make great gifts, and I like to treat myself to a new one every year to vary up the color.

Hydro Flask is fantastic as always. This is my third Hydro Flask water bottle, and I appreciate how cold my water stays for up to 24 hours. I've dropped it a couple of times and it hasn't chipped or scratched in any way. Great color selections, especially the Pacific Blue, which is very bright! Just a reminder to clean your water bottle on a regular basis. Even if you simply drink water from it and drink from it on a daily basis, bacteria may and will build up if you don't wash it, and you'll end up with a sore throat as I did.
