HOW DID WE DO?

Feel free to yell at us about stuff.

A BLACK (AND PINK/BLUE) FRIDAY DROP
Limited to just 60 total pieces and just in time for the holidays, the newest of our Kirby Lambert collaboration is popping with Miami Vice Carbon Fiber inlays courtesy of CamoCarbon, and grounded with black titanium. Custom knife components and build quality without the comma in the price, there’s not another knife like it.
KAVISO X KIRBY RAINE V3
The Kaviso x Kirby Raine V3 has been revised with CPM-S90V and poll-winning finishes from our Drawing board, this batch of beefy folders are sure to impress. Measuring 8.2 inches long and weighing nearly 6 ounces, the Raine is a flat-out beast. And while it’s certainly sized for heavy-duty cuts, it doesn’t sacrifice even a smidge of grace.

Kirby designed blades are becoming increasingly scarce and reserved for collectors (and collector budgets) only. Produced with only high quality (and hard to find) materials, Kirby’s knives are eye-catching works of art with no detail overlooked.
ABOUT KIRBY LAMBERT
Kirby Lambert has been collecting folding knives since the age of 7. Considering his upbringing in the Canadian countryside, he had plenty of reasons to carry one—however, it wasn’t until studying fine art at the University of Calgary that Lambert realized his knack for craftsmanship. Later he met knifemaker Brian Lyttle, who taught him the skills and dedication needed to make his own knives and turn passion into reality. In the 27 years since he officially stepped onto the scene, Lambert has become one of the most respected knifemakers in the industry. To that end, he won the award for “Best Tactical Folder” at Blade Show 2016 and served as the Vice President of the Canadian Knifemakers’ Guild.
REATE: A STORY OF PRECISION CRAFTSMANSHIP
A small and highly respected original equipment manufacturer in China, Reate was founded in 2012 by David Deng, a longtime knife enthusiast with a background in mechanical design and manufacturing. Since starting the business, Deng has expanded its capabilities to offer key services like wire EDM precision cutting, laser engraving, CNC milling, low-temperature tempering, custom hand finishing, and more. Owing to the company’s impressive work, Reate has earned the opportunity to work with knifemakers around the world, including names like Liong Mah, Tashi Bharucha, David Mosier, Eric Ochs, and Todd Begg.

Awesome knife, good build quality

Kaviso and Reate did a good job here. It is much cheaper than I usually see Reate done knives for, without sacrificing the quality. Has good fit and finish, great detent, and a nice blade grind that feels very capable of tackling any knife related task. The belt satin in it is beautiful.

If the design speaks to you I would say it’s worth it.

An excellent design from Kirby Lambert and top-notch execution by Reate, as usual. And with a very, very reasonable price from Kaviso to boot. We need more versions!

Well designed knife

Well designed and excellent fit and finish. The carbon fiber is very high quality as well. This latest drop point version is imo a big improvement on an already great knife.

Kaviso did it again! Feels and looks like a $400 knife.

Great knife at an amazing price. Kaviso out did themselves on this one. I've got 2 batch 2's and a batch 3 and I love them all, but the batch 3 is just on another level. The non recurve s90v blade is a very nice upgrade compared to batch 2's recurve s35vn. Thumb studs vs flipper is a toss up, I like both and don't have a major preference, although the thumb stud version doesn't have a pocket pecker so it carry's a bit slimmer. If you like big beefy knives it's a great one. Mine came perfectly centered, with a great detent, and looks for days. Thanks Kaviso!
