When I unboxed her, both my wife and unborn daughter wept with joy for her presence to grace our home, our neighbors spontaneously broke out into song and festivities were held in her honor for a fortnight. This pairs well with the original Mermaid (still 440A blade steel) and for the price it's a no-brainer. It's about 3/4" shorter overall than the non-assisted original and the mermaids have gained a bit of detail (just ask the happy dolphins). The rainbow coloring is still as striking. Happy to add it to the collection.

It's an assisted opening, gas station knife with a topless mermaid, and the happiest dolphin you've ever seen. Who cares it's 440A or weighs a half a ton? For 20 bucks it's an excellent add to my collection.

This is not a carry knife for me. I was in the Navy and liked the nautical design. It is a display knife in my challenge coin case.

The knife is too heavy for a daily carry. It is a beautiful knife though.
