Kaviso
SKU: Kaviso x Viper Berus 1 (Arctic)
FREEZING FIXED BLADE
For our debut Kaviso x Collaboration, we’ve partnered with Viper to upgrade the EDC-friendly fixed blade BERUS designed by Tommaso Rumici. Rumici’s full tang construction, ergonomic profile, premium M390 blade steel, and practical design remain. We’ve modernized the handle materials and aesthetics, without breaking your budget – delivering a fixed blade you’ll want to bring home to meet the parents.
DAT FAT CARBON
Popularity of Fat Carbon scales has surged within the knife community in recent years, and here at Kaviso we’ve never met a Fat Carbon material we didn’t like. For the BERUS, we wanted to maintain the subtle nature of the piece overall, while giving you something to talk about around the water cooler. The Arctic Storm scales offer an eye catching icy-blue first impression, coupled with asymmetrical elements in the color patterns. Expert craftsmanship by Viper is evident in the fit and finish of the scales which maintain the ergonomic grooves around the main grip points of the handle.
A CLEAN SHAVE
We removed the billboard-style branding on the show side of the BERUS, moving it to a more subtle position near the handle. The Viper engraving now appears on the reverse side of the designer’s stamp for more uniformity. The end result is a clean looking knife flexing it’s features – we let the blade do all the talking.
KAVISO COLLABORAZIONE
Kaviso X Collaborations have been in the works for the better part of a year, where we’ve teamed up with the finest knife brands to tweak and customize blades to deliver exciting new options for the knife community. The BERUS 1 and 2 are the first among a long lineup of knives we have in production. We won’t giveaway too much too soon, but we think the upcoming collabs from Ray Laconico, QSP, Reate, Kirby Lambert, Civivi, and MKM are pretty gnarly.
VIPER KNIVES
The Italian city of Maniago is home to an impressive lineup of knife manufacturers: LionSTEEL, MKM, Mercury, and Viper Knives among them. Viper Knives has been producing blades in Maniago since 1987, reaching an artistic prestige in designing and manufacturing folders, fixed blades, and EDC tools. Beginning with gentlemen’s and traditional folders, Viper has since expanded into the EDC and outdoor blades categories to much acclaim.
