At around one and a half ounces the Kaizen truly earns the featherweight title, but the most standout feature is the flipper mechanism. In closed position the flipper tab is virtually undetectable, reinforced by jimping in the spine of the blade. Don’t let your eyes deceive you – the Kaizen flips open reliably with a satisfying deployment and sturdy liner lock. Flat sided slot on the end of the handle allows for the knife to stand up when closed and provides ample space for customizing your carry with a lanyard or paracord.

A CLOSER LOOK AT S35VN STEEL
Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (arguably the most famous knifemaker in the world), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process of Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM), which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
